Once in a while when I sit in my TV chair to watch a show or a movie, a cat will sit up by my head on the back of the chair. Usually there is one on the right arm of the chair and another on the left arm.
When Moose sits up on the back of my chair, she smacks me in the head with her tail. Constantly. Besides being a heavy tail and the "whack" feeling, she creates a pretty cold breeze with her fluffy tail.
Not really sure if she is mad, perturbed or just trying to get my goat. One thing is for certain. She makes her presence known.

No longer have pets. I will bet that is just a habit she has. She likes the thump on her tail, the reassurance that you are there.
Oh, that really makes me really miss a cat in the house. It's been about 11 years.
When our dog wants out she doesn't bark; she will just stand quietly in the kitchen doorway. Of course she also does that when she wants food or treats. So we have to go into the kitchen and play 21 questions. If she wants a treat she will lick her chops or glance at her treat jar, so you must pay close attention.
Well, my Abby pushes things onto the floor when she wants attention. She also covers up any food that I give her which is not quite to her taste. No mistaking what that means. The other four cuddle in my lap or next to me when they need to feel close. Of course, my lap is not big enough for more than one and it does make reading the newspaper difficult when two want to be there. Alex and Mischief like to come up on the bed and purr when it is close to morning. They seem happy just to be there. Genghis sits and watches me. Seems like he is trying to understand the strange things I do. My four footed buddies are an important part of my life.
