Here is my niece's husband (my nephew by marriage). He did a wonderful job. As somebody in the group said "This ain't his first rodeo." The guy knew what he was doing. He started out hesitantly because he had not taken down a structure of this size and my sister had a lot of money invested in that machine he was operating. Okay - it is an excavator.
After the first twenty minutes or so he had relaxed and boy did he go to town.
It was not a sad day. I had family there and we bonded even more. There were stories told that my niece had not heard before.

I'm glad it turned out to be a better day then you thought it would be. Gathering the family around for shared memories....priceless.
A new twist on the traditional family picnic. These conversations could be the new family treasures.
