This is Gato. My nephew's cat. I first called her a brindle, but now I realize that she is a tortoiseshell coated cat.She adopted my nephew. Somebody removed her front claws.
She is a sweet one. She was supposed to be helping me clean, but she played while I worked. Here she is in an empty dresser drawer.

I have two tortoiseshells outside. They are very pretty. One is a longhair, the other a shorthair. Mother and daughter. I call the daughter Mini-Me because she looks just like Mom. And Mom recently gave birth again. The kittens are right ouside our patio door in a huge doghouse. I peeked once just to make sure they were in there, so now we wait till they come marching out one by one.
