Channeling Turner

I've mentioned before that J.M.W. Turner was one of my favorite artists. It started many many moons ago when I read the book "The Moonstone" by Wilkie Collins. The cover on the paperback book was part of the Turner painting "The Fighting Temeraire".  The right half of the picture with the stone and the setting sun was used as the book's cover.

My photo above from September 2016 reminded me of the skies that Turner would paint that looked as if they were on fire.

Everything AND the kitchen sink

I've written about this artist before. We saw her work at Akron Museum in 2000. Here is an article I read recently:  http://www.wmagazine.com/artdesign/2008/09/liza_lou.

I find her work amazing. The photo of the sink of dirty dishes is part of her kitchen piece. It took her five years to create this one. At Akron they also had the backyard picnic and the president portraits.

Stained glass

Here is a photo from back in August of 2012. We were eating at a pub in Canton. We had a party of 12 and were seated in the "library room".  Loved it.

Still have not regained my "mojo" at work. Not sure I will. Is mojo the correct word here? Yep, according to the urban dictionary it is your self confidence. I consider it my magic. My capability of doing a good job and having my heart in it. Whatever it is - I've lost it. Still faking it.

I know and understand all the science behind being my own worst enemy, etc... I realize that I hold the key to my own happiness. Only I can change things. I know all this. I know all that. I just don't care anymore. I will get it all back. It just takes time.
