You know how it is. You read something. A headline story/the death of a celebrity and say to yourself "Whoa...I was just talking to so and so about him." Or "I was just thinking about them."
Gene Hackman. On Feb 7th I downloaded a couple of his books to read. I didn't get around to reading them yet, but for some reason I had been reading (Oh, I recall - I was reading about it being his 95th birthday on January 30th) about him and saw that he wrote a couple of books. Westerns are not my favorite genre but I'll give them a go. Just because it's Gene. If somebody like say - Al Pacino wrote a book, I probably wouldn't bother. I don't care much for AP. (As an actor, I don't know him of course).
I've caught a talk show or two with a celebrity on it and funny - it seems like the actors I don't care for, I end up liking them on the talk show and actors I did like ended up looking like a total ass. So - there you go. I might like Al if I ever saw him in person.

Not sure I'd like AP even if I met him in person. 😀 I did not know that Gene wrote books. I enjoy autobiographies. But sometimes someone I like I did not care for after reading their book. Sally Field was like that for me. I loved her from Giget to modern day. Then I read her book. 😗
It is odd, just the other day I was thinking of someone not a celebrity I knew years ago, and found out the next day she had died. It just happens this way sometimes.
