Absorption

I can only handle a little at a time. For the first few days the blaring headlines and a few sentences in was all I could read before I began to get sick.

I do not have cable (or air) TV so I heard no news. If a web page began their video spewing prior to my clicking play , it was immediately paused. I want to hear nothing.

Three days in, I was able to read a paragraph or two - before I read something that horrified me so I had to quickly turn away and do something or read something else.

Personally, nobody knows if more control will stop this madness or not. Nobody has a crystal ball. Perhaps we just feel that we have to do something instead of nothing.

I can only take it in little bits too. My family all signed a card and I'll send it to the school. I have nothing else to offer :-(

We DO have to do something instead of nothing!

kden - I am so caught up between sad, angry, depressed, sick.

Tabor - I guess I am letting the sick and depressed control my thought process regarding "what can we do?"

You are absolutely right. Doing nothing is giving up. And that would be the saddest thing of all.

I've watched hours of coverage. I'm hoping that eventually they will uncover the "why", even though I'm sure we will never know.
