Guarding

He may look as if he is sleeping but he is actually guarding my lone moonflower plant. Somebody sat him down into the dirt from the patio. I don't know who, but I found him this way. Maybe he moved there himself? Hmmm?

Little mushrooms

I got the mushrooms last week-end as a gift. They go well with my gnomes. My patio will be full around the edge before very long. I have a few more in the house that I need to move outside.

I've been watching the news about the storms and flood in the Midwest. The horror of the boy scouts, the evacuations in the flooded cities. As I passed a gas station today I was wondering if a lot of the service stations would be going out of business. It seems so.

Sigh. I am reminded of the Anne Murray song. "I really could use a little good news, today."

Elder Gnome
